Judith Greenleaf’s Art WorkshopsJudith Greenleaf teaches class in Baja California during the Winter months, and in Northern California during the Summer and Fall Baja California 2008UNLEASH YOUR CREATIVITY IN PARADISE—combine a fabulous winter vacation and an art workshop with one of California’s most inspiring master teachers!
Combine a great winter destination with an outstanding 5 day workshop with a master teacher. Any media or combination. Demonstrations in watercolor, acrylic, oil, drawing materials, and mixed media. All levels including total beginners in watercolor and drawing. Those working in oil or acrylics should have some experience with the medium.
For those who have dreamed of drawing or painting, but didn’t know where to start (or were discouraged) as well as for experienced artists!
We will start each day working rapidly, loosening up, letting the right brain, and our response to the model and materials shape the image. We will make many drawings in this gestural manner, developing a fun process that encourages direct eye to hand coordination without allowing the critical mind to interupt the flow. Then you will select some of your many starts to develop and/or refine. Demonstrations in a variety of materials, both black and white and color. This workshop is suitable for all levels. Model fee. SAN JOSE DEL CABOWonderful indoor/outdoor location at private studio. We work from 9:30-12:30 leaving afternoons free to relax and enjoy this superb town on the Sea of Cortez near Baja’s southern tip, with lovely, temperate climate, beaches and water sports, great shopping and dining, golf, etc. Great variety of accommodations and air packages. The final workshop in March coincides with the annual Fiesta San Jose. The town celebrates its patron saint bigtime with free entertainment every night, a queen and princesses, a rodeo, races, a carnival, parade, and fireworks. Great photo ops, food and crafts from all over Mexico, and the rancheros and locals out in their holiday best. Make early air and accommodations reservations for fiesta time! LOS ZACATITOSWorkshops take place at my home and art retreat in a beautiful, lush desert, walking distance from the Sea of Cortez. We have miles of nearly deserted beautiful beaches and a bay great for swimming, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking (we have some on the beach), and, in February and March, enjoying the whales. It is 8 miles from San Jose del Cabo. Accomodations at my land and nearby range from tents, pavilions, guest rooms, to lovely houses on or near the beach. Earliest registrants have the most choices. There is still free beach camping for the self-sufficient and parking space for an RV or camper at my land. TO REGISTER: 707-206-7472, (011-521)-624- 119-6125, or grnleaf@mcn.org.
