Judith Greenleaf spends summer and fall on the Mendocino Coast, and winter and spring in Baja California. She is a master teacher, a workshop leader, and an artist who expresses herself in many media.
On this site, you can see examples of her figurative sculpture in bronze, clay, and cast stone; her figure drawings and paintings in ink, charcoal, pastel, and watercolor; and her plein aire oils and watercolors celebrating nature. Her images are available as prints, cards, and editions as well as originals.
Her workshops in January, February, and March combine travel to Mexico with a watercolor, painting and drawing, or figure drawing workshop. These workshops feature small groups, plein aire and studio settings, and individual attention from one of Northern California’s most inspiring teachers. Beginners, intermediates, and advanced artists may work in watercolor, oils, acrylics, pastels, pencil, ink, charcoal, and mixed media.
San Jose del Cabo and Los Zacatitos are marvelous winter destinations with sunny, warm climate, great beaches, snorkeling, kayaking and fishing. Enjoy a colonial town with great shopping and dining or an art retreat in a desert garden on the Sea of Cortez.
Judith also teaches late spring, summer, and fall workshops in Northern California. Workshops in Landscape Painting, Drawing from the model, and Sculpture in cast stone and clay take place at the Mendocino Art Center and at her own studio. Contact her for studio appointments, open studio dates, to organize a workshop, or for private lessons. Her updated schedules are available by request.
